I've visited this website almost every day and found it very informative and friendly.

My doberman, Elza, is 2 years old and very pupopular in my neighborhood.
Thanks for my dog friendly community!

Since the Great East Japan Earthquake struck on 03/11 this year, our emotional ties got stronger than ever. We've survived anyway!!

Welcome from Southern California. We thought about you people a lot after the earthquake and still do. I hope the world soon says goodbye to all ideas of nuclear power, before more people get hurt... Well, off topic, sorry.
Hello to Elza and feel free to show us some photos!

A big hearty welcome from the Midwest, Kansas City, USA to you and Elza.

So very very happy you guys are ok. When that tragedy happened I believe so many of us wanted to help but felt helpless and did not know what to do.

Any way, glad you are here. Please posts lots of photos.

Thanks!

I even didn't think at that time that quake caused so much tragedy as our home
is far away from the coastal area, an hour drive away.

I did some volunteer work at the shelter.
There are many dogs lost their owners due to tsunami.
They were not abandoned but suddenly became victims of the disaster.

Anyway, I need to get used to the system. I want to share my Elza's pics with other members!

Konichiwa! Ikaga desu ka?

My aunt is from Beppu, Japan. She was one of the first Japanese women in our area, coming here in the 1950's, she met my uncle who was a soldier stationed in Japan.

Our dogs names are almost the same, I have an "Elsa". :)

please share some pictures of your pup! and welcome!

>Fitz.kara san,
Hajimemashite!
Glad to hear that you have a Japanese family member and understand the language!

I usually spell out "Elsa" although pronounce more like Elza, and as I saw your dobe's name before, I changed the spelling to avoid confusion.
I'm quite happy we have some in common!!

Hello from Ohio! I have found that Dt.com has been a great resource for me as I learn new things about my pup on a daily basis. Great people with lots of knowledge. I know all of our prayers were with you and still are as your country tries to recover.
Have a wonderful day!

Elza is very calm and understand the word "Kawaii! (You look pretty!)" when she wears T-shirt.
Now she likes wearing clothes;)

BUT I've never imagined myself to put clothes on a dog.
I'm almost like a collector now... That's because of Elza!

Thank you for your input in Romaji. I understood it!
As my business partner is Aussie, I read Romaji everyday.

Nagoya! A city of (kind of) Toyota!
If you have a chance to come to Japan, visit the pet stores next time!
Lots of products/clothes!

Re. your questions, "genpatsu" is a nuclear power station.
"shinsai" is earthquake disaster. This case genpatsushinsai makes sense!
Earthquake itself is "jishin".

I just understand very little! I would love to learn it someday though.
Oh, you don't have to do that- spell it Elsa like you usually do. We have lots of dogs on here with the same name! :)
