I know its a bit late but hi and welcome - I must have missed your original post! Your girl is beautiful and is really growing. They are tiny for such a small amount of time. Make the most of her 'baby' moments they go so quickly.

July 2007 - running Stell weekly has proven tedious on the body. I pulled my back hard from trying to keep her in check, on the left, at all times, when running/walking. It got to the point where I couldn't stand or walk and I'm not THAT old to have parts fail like this. What was the solution? I was offered a great tip: GENTLE LEADER EASY WALK HARNESS. Yes! It has curbed the strong pulling, she now runs by my side and my back is saved (for now).

Here she is, much preferred by her and I, free of a leash. Stella & Lia outlook at Isabel.

Yes, but the problem is that you might now be hurting her neck. This is a breed predisposed to a major neck problem (Cervical Vertebral Instability) and those head harnesses exert a tremendous amount of torque on the neck.

I feel for your back problem (I suffer from back problems myself from time to time) but I wouldn't ever use or recommend one of those collars for a Doberman.

Stella, 11 Months, Black & Tan Californian Doberman, Concord, CA.

Her favorite play buddies are 70-80 lb. labradoodles, poodles, goldendoodles. She loves a dobie party, rock rattle and roll in the grass! Any dog her age works too: rottweilers, labs, jack russell terriers. Some of her friends include a 120 lb. Great Dane, the fastest dog on the West Coast under 20 lbs. (Ma*s), and a lean Siberian Husky / Wolf mix, and a 150 lb. Irish Wolfhound.

It was pretty cool yesterday when she met up with an 11 month Doberman male named Remy. Remy (Martin) and Stella (Artois) at play.
