Hello from Melbourne Florida!!!
East coast by the space center :0)
I’ve never given the new member introduction although I’ve been learning and looking on this site ever since I met another “Doberman” at the park a few months ago.
I am the proud owner of my first red Doberman Kira Hime (He-may; the Princess of Killers in Japanese)! I have to say, "I never understood the term “Velcro Dog” until now!” Not only is she always by my side somewhere, she’s usually in-between my legs while I am standing! Which was cute I might add when she was a little thing! Seeing as I am only 5ft. tall this has become quite an uncomfortable stance as she continues to grow taller but, still cute none the less!
In my house we refer to “said Doberman” as “The Kira.” She is not a dog in our eyes! Kira is definitely voted “most favorite family member!” She gives the best hugs and besides being a blanket thief, she is flawless.
We would love to meet other Dobermans in this area to have as playmates on the weekends if anyone is interested. I love seeing two of this breed playing together it’s really entertaining.
I enjoy taking her to dog friendly restaurants and inevitability have met interesting people with tons of Doberman stories to tell. I’m not really a people person (more of a hermit) and Kira has brought out the best in me as well.
I met a man a few weeks ago whom was a past show breeder and trainer of Dobermans. His quote I feel everyone will appreciate on this site, I’d like to leave on was this…
“I’d never own a different breed of dog having owned Doberman Pinschers…”
It’s inevitable you would fall in love with them, seeing as you can’t get a moment alone once having one…
