Hello and Welcome to DT. Congrats on the new addition in family. 4 going 5 and still chewing ? Man...I thought my 1 yr old chewing because he's still a young pup. Mine does run in circle as well with a toy in his mouth like a little human child. Kinda funny and cute...lol4 y/o going on 5 y/o male Dobie with a 29 y/o male human. Found each other when living with a drunk that couldn't take care of herself, let alone a dog. So after being locked in bathrooms and basements, we both moved out to sunny middle river, MD. :graduate:
Now we're eating better, have a woman in our lives that we love and loves us and have a addition to the family on the way.
Doberdog is into chewing and ripping stuffing out of stuffed animals. Loves running in circles. Will do it when excited.
Human likes motorcycles, guns, and bbq. Tries to run, but no where near as enthusiastic about it.
He only chews on his chew toys. He never chews on anything that he's not supposed to chew on. Well, maybe a chicken bone from the trash or too. He used to chew on wood when he got his adult teeth, but that was in the drunks house.Hello and Welcome to DT. Congrats on the new addition in family. 4 going 5 and still chewing ? Hope you like it here. Lots of info and great Dobie peeps here. Hehehe
He's handsome!I have a question for you guys. Do you think he's fat? He was really fat at one point, so I put him on a diet and he got his "figure" back, but he still has that little fat roll over his leg when he sits. You can see it in the pic with the motorcycle.
I feed him Orijen 80/20. Normally 3 cups. I guess I could cut him down to 2 cups.Yeah, he's definitely a little pudgy, but at least not in a huge way! Perhaps a little extra exercise and a cup or two less of food. You'll find a good balance, I'm sure :] My boy just recently had to start being fed less. I dropped him from 5-6 cups all the way down to two. Of course, he's young so I think he had finished a growth spurt, plus, since moving, he doesn't get nearly as much exercise as he used to. What/how much do you feed?
