Hey fellow brit, welcome to the forum,did you get Sable from a local breeder and with papers? If so what is her breeding. We live in West Bromwich with our 4 girls 2 brown and 2 black/rust.

I love it when dobes get allong with little dogs, makes for such adorable friendships!

lol! she does do that too! If she wants to get one over on the little one, she will give you the most 'unloved' look you can imagine!!! we have always had German Shepherds in the past and they have a totally different personality. Dobermans seem to be more independant and seem less willing to accept rules!! Not that this is a bad thing, we love her to bits!! If she has the devil in her though, she will quite happily sit there and stare at you whilst you shout blue murder at her to get in!!!! lol!!! I am looking forward to some tips in this department! cheers!!! paul!

Welcome to the forum, Paul - Sable is beautiful Big/little dog relationships are a hoot! I have a 1yr old Dobe and a 4 yr old Chihuaha mix that are a handful together but obviously love each other.

LOL.. Paul I know how that is. We had a way with mako her first year. She was also a runner. I did eventually get a training color that would emit a small shock that worked wonders. Some people think this is cruel, but I think cruel is allowing a dog to get himself or herself in trouble or injured. Mako now is very obedient. I also use a gutteral <Ehhhh> heh don't know how to spell it, but it sure will get her attention and we use that instead of no because it doesn't sound like any other word and it does sound firm. hehe I wonder if my neighbors ever thought I had a throat problem for all the gutteral clearing of the throat sounds.

Holly is around 3 toy Poodles and oh boy do they have fun lol These poodles act like there big stuff now. Holly takes her paw and slaps em around

Well Paul, you know what that means eh? Means you have to take videos of the play and show the rest of us. I am grinning already because I know that must be a site and with those naughty eyes of Holly, it must be funny. You got to love a lil naughty in a dobe. Keeps you on your toes, except me, but I do not have great balance I am a clutz.
