Was out taking Buddy for a walk with the scooter started to go by some apartments well right up on the yard of the apartment a Dobe bigger than Buddy was watching us. The gate where you drive into the apartments was open all the Dobe had to do is go around the gate. I saw the Dobe before Buddy did we just turned around and high tailed it out of there. No person around the loose Dobe that I could see.Always scared some loose dog will attack Buddy guess I better get to a boat store and get a little fire extinguisher. The way Buddy acts some times I think he would fight in a heart beat.
I have been carrying a small water bottle with a sprayer on it with water and a tad of vinegar in it. I started spraying Buddy every time he starts his whining /barking at other dogs & cats while we are out. He seems to be getting the message shut up.Still looking at No Pull Harnesses for him to wear since he thinks he is a sled dog will be great if we ever run out of power someday. At this point not doing my arm much good getting longer than the right arm.Still using the Gentle Leader at this point.
I have been told to exercise Buddy allot but then told if Buddy pulls just stop the scooter and make him sit.Hard to do both since the scooter is for exercising Buddy.
Buddy got his CGC certificate today getting a frame for it at the Dollar store also got him a tag saying he has his CGC since we go out & about.Maybe of a help one of these days who knows.

Since I want to try to train Buddy as a Service dog to help me around the house. Joined a Service dog forum also they were saying you could always use your wheelchair or scooter to try and block a stray dog from attacking? Not too sure about that since most of my scooter is fiberglass/plastic? Still think I will get a small fire extinguisher to put in the scooter basket.I some times have Patches with us also so have to look out for her too.I have gotten some booklets on training your own Service dog.It is hard to know where to start and when to start have been wondering if I need to wait for his brains to show up.At present we are going back over sit stays & down stays Buddy thinks he does not have to do them.Ha-Ha I only tell him once then still make him do it are all Dobes that way? Sure gets old making him do it when he knows it.Bought a note book to take notes on when we train only try to train about 10 minutes twice a day do not want to bore him.Trying clicker training and touch but never did it before so not sure if I'm doing it right.Guess I need to hit the Library and read up on Clicker Training.
