no matter how short or how small. I know this is a Doberman forum but I wanted to share with you all a story about a special little angel, daddy's little girl. Jerzee Lina was brought into this world 6 months ago. She was a small adorable Yorkshire Terrier that was so full of life and love it was contagious. She was a little energetic fur ball.

Well Wednesday (7-16-07) My fiance took her to the vet to be spade. They did the operation yesterday (7-18-07) and she did great. Then when she was regaining conscience her heart started to fail. They tried for 20 mins to bring her back but it was time for her to go.

All I can do is sit here and think about the cute little things she always did. She would jump up on your lab and roll over and want her belly rubbed. I remember how proud I was of her that she could finally jump up on the couch. I just miss her so much and it hasn't been 24 hours.

All day yesterday I cried. I had to leave work because I work with people who don't realize how much a dog can mean to someone. I had a hard time going to sleep. My poor fiance was even more sad. That was her dog, her baby.

So now we are dealing with it day by day. It is very difficult because everything reminds us of her. Its just amazing to me how much a 6 month old puppy can touch me. I was so attached to her and I love her so much.

I am soooo sorry for your tragic loss. It is just aweful when it is a young dog, especially a puppy has passed on, just isn't right. Please visit Petloss.com if you feel you need more support, I went to that site after losing both my dogs last year and I found it to be a great help.

Loss is loss, it doesn't matter if it is a dog or a person...it is who that dog or person was to YOU. Do not let others try and decide how and when you should grieve. Your pain is real.

Take care of yourself, one day at a time.

Yorkies sure are spitfires. My parents had one.

I can read right through your pain. It is very hard. In my life I've lost great pets. My most difficult loss was the most recent. I think it has to do with her growing up with my children. I've always said that my pets are like children to me but since I've had kids it's made it all the more real. Losing Cleopatra felt like losing a daughter and there isn't a day that passes that we don't feel the loss in our lives. I always know that there is something missing and it's devestating the hole they leave behind but slowly the memories start filling in that hole and happy memories slowly take over the sad ones.

I'm so sorry for you. I know it is no more easier to lose a puppy then it is an adult dog. No matter what anybody says, never minimize your loss. You're girl deserves so much more then six months worth of memories, give her a lifetime.

It just amazes me that she became such a huge part of our lives is such a short time. We had planned for her and out other dogs to be around when me and my fiance had kids. She wasn't supposed to leave us so young.

That is sooo tragic....I am so sorry to hear of your loss and my heart goes out to you.....I can't imagine a sudden loss like that.
