Pretty girl. What is her pedigree?
Thundersnake was a very beautiful dog. I used to have some pictures of him sent by the breeder, as many of my dogs have been closely related to him..don't think I have the pics any longer.TracyJo said:The only notable dog I've found on that side of the pedigree though is the great grand sire - Intl. Ch. Top Direction Thunder Snake is one of the top producing studs here in Japan. Her great grand dam is an American bred dog named Ch. Oshan's Miss USA but I've not been able to find out anything about her...

Just a figure of speech saying Thundersnake "was" a pretty dog..I really don't know if he's still alive or not. I'm VERY familiar with a lot of the dogs behind Thundersnake..and that's a family group that's been surrounded with DCM.TracyJo said:Murreydobe,
you said he "was" a pretty dog - I didn't realize he had died. He was born in 97, so if you ask me, he didn't live nearly long enough. Do you know, by any chance, the cause of death? Here is a link to some pictures of Top Direction dogs: http://www5b.biglobe.ne.jp/~top-dobe/TD_dog.htm
ThunderSnake is Chi's Great Grand sire on her mothers side, but Ch. Neuvelle Vendome Casanova (also pictured on this page) is her grand sire on fathers side
I really doubt you could find a doberman anywhere in the world that *doesn't* have DCM involvement somewhere in a 4-5 generation pedigree..so you're in good company.TracyJo said:Not the most encouraging news to ever read - but it is kind of nifty that our dogs are like 2nd cousinsI truly doubt this island has ever seen a holter monitor much less provides them for testing - will put that on my list of things to do when we return to the US. Thanks for the info
