If any one shops online you can sign up with www.igive.com and find the cause for the Animal Welfare Network of East Tn, most places you shop at online will donate a certain % from the proceeds. This time of year we could really use the donations as there are more dogs in need of rescueing. It's getting colder and warm places to hide are hard to find for a stray or a dumped dog. So far we have purchased 15 insulated dog houses and a new heater for the indoor kennel. Last year it cost $300 a month to run the heater!

We are expecting flurries tonight and once the temps drop for good the calls will be flooding in for dogs and cats in need of a warm place to stay.

P.S.

About 20 days ago Bonnie a 3yr old Doberman got away from her owner in Dunlap, Tn. She useually returns within an hour, but this time she did not. Her "dad" is hadicapped and could not chase after her, he is very distraught and misses her very much. One way to identify Bonnie is by a ridge on her back where her fur meets. She is a very sweet girl and once had a rough life before being rescued! Just wanted to get this out in case anyone lives near the area and might have seen her! Thanks guys!!!
