How many fish oil capsules should I be providing Kilo? He probably weighs about 50-55lbs now (7mos) as he weighed 40lbs 2months ago. I was giving him 4 600mg capsules per day; is that too much? I just bought another bottle and the capsules are 1200mg capsules, how many should I feed per day? Between the fish oil and the water and lotion mix, his skin and coat have dramatically improved.

I really don't know, but basing it on people use 3000mg a day. The 1200mg should be fine.

I feed one a day. I always fed the 1000 mg but have noticed that they are hard to find now. It seems that 1200mg is the standard dose......... I just bought a new bottle today when I was at Target.

I dont know about dosage, but I was planning on talking to my vet more about it soon. She was suggesting it when I first got my Blue dobie, her skin's so sensitive. When I find out more I'll be sure to let you know XD

My vet told me to feed 2000mg to my Pug during the wintyer, so I give FiFi 3000mg, figuring she's bigger. Seems to be doing well on that.

I find the 1200mg harder to get. They always have the 1000mg at Sam's club or Walmart. I like to get the 1200mg and they are always out. Now they have 1700mg.

When we started the fish oil capsules, my vet suggested that we do (2) 1000mg capsules a day for 3 weeks, then only (1) 1000mg capsules a day.

I've started my 50lb 6 month blue on 1200mg a day. I notice her dandruff has reduced, but the weather has also been changing.

When you guys are saying their coat improves, what do you mean?

I'd like to clear up the dandruff, but I don't want to make her coat super soft.
