Ok, i have jacks ears taped up, i did them my self ( the last time i had the vets do it cause i was unsure.. ) but i figured i would start doing them so i dont have to keep making the trip. so im wondering on opinions how i did.. its pipe insulation back taped then taped to his ears of course. i was just wondering if they look good from the pictures. i did them while he was sleeping as you can see, hubby held his head up straight so i can get a good brace on them.

I can't comment on the taping but I can say "that is one sleepy Dobe!" Isn't it so funny that when they're on, they are so on but once they're out, it takes a hurricane to wake them up LOL

indeed.. i found out its the BEST time to do anything with them.. especially nails lol.. but again found out its the best time for taping also lol

From what I can see it looks good. You just gotta watch now and see if he will be able to pull them off. If it last the amount of days you need. You did a GREAT job LOL

thanks, he is used to the tapings the vets do, so he shouldnt bug them.

Ok so I have a question for all of the experts on the panel....First, whatever you use as your post, how big in diameter should it be?...becuz 2nd, if it was too small in diameter, and you taped your dogs ears around it wouldnt the ears curve in when they stand? Does that make sense?
In those pics, its looks really good. The ear just has a slights curve around the insulation pipe. But if that was a tampon, the curve would be greater..

LOL, thanks brum!.. and about the tightness of the curve.. im not sure how that works.. i took 1/2" insulation piping that i got in a huge pile from walmart, then cut it in half, then half again cause jacks ears are small..thats how i did it.. then folded his ear to the piping, it seems to be doing good since its not comeing out yet lol.
