I believe it is set-up that way because grains are cooked and digest at different rates than the meat meal. Each meal in it's self is 100% complete.
Yes you can make up a few days worth. I make up the grains in a big batch and then just warm them in the microwave.
Bandit will not eat the breakfast meal so I mix the meat in both meals. The book does say that some older dogs will not except the texture of the morning meal and therefore you can mix the two. :)

This has been VERY fascinating. I have been toying with the idea or RAW, but hubby is resistant (bacteria thing). I do have one question, kind of goofy, but have been wondering since the beginning of the thread. when you all give your dogs the RMB's, does your dog drag it and chew it all over the house? Cody would try to pack around his RMB's all over the place and it got to be such a mess that they became "outside toys". How do you get them to keep the bones where they belong, instead of up on the couch or your bed?

Well for us that has also been an issue. I now put the gate up in the kitchen or put Bandit and the bone in the crate. And of course in the summer she gets it outside. Bandit will bring it on the carpet because it does not move around as much, therefore you might want to try putting a piece of carpet in the kitchen or wherever else you want him to eat it.

Gave Princi the dinner and she loved it.....I am glad I got her started on this as it does look very healthy and I am the one controling what she gets and how much of it she gets, and its all fresh!!

Thank you okie-dobie and everyone else, your help is greatly appreciated.

Codysmom- Princi actually likes to be down and in one spot when she is working on her RMBs. I have designated an area rug where her food bowl and water is kept and she has to eat it there or she will not get it, so far she does exactly that, unless she has permission to eat it somewhere else.

Try to get him in the habbit of eating the RMBs in one spot that you have chosen and if he gets up and takes it with him just take it away and put it back in the same spot again and tell him to eat it there....repeat as necessary. I am sure he will learn that he can only have it if he stays there, then you can work on having him eat it in different spots that you approve of.

Good Luck

Mr. Desi

I am glad Princi is loving it. Just keep an eye on his weight and adjust if you have to. Also do not leave any ingredient out of the mix. They are all there for a reason. I am sure you will start to see results within a month. You may find he has way more energy...remember to up his exercise a little, this food has more calories than the average kibble. :)
