Emergency Vet for 2011 DPCA Nationals

Hi all!

I don't know if the DPCA is recommending a Veterinary facility for this year's Nationals, but there is a 24/7 emergency clinic (the only one in that area) literally 2 minutes (probably about a mile) up the road from the hotel and ring.

I work there and it is a very, very, good facility! I have worked at two other veterinary clinics in the area, and this is by far the best place I have been.

The Veterinarians there are fabulous; they really care about your animals.

Tufts is far and expensive, and Acton as well (extremely expensive!!)

It's a new facility, been open about a year and a half, and is beautiful. Here is the website:

yes, that's Acton emergency.

Honestly, from experience and many others in this area- I would NOT go there.
they are very expensive and take advantage of people in a panicked situation.

Also, the one in Westminster is literally 1 mile up the road, and much better care.

ETA: Fallon Animal Clinic is great! they are the clinic on call.

Good to know. My vet will be attending the Nat'ls so I'll defer to her first but hey, you never know with these dogs!

Thanks for this info Kara. I think we all hope we won't need to make a trip to the vet, but you never know.
