I now have a 15 yr old Yorkie, yes I know a big difference from a Dobie.

Ear dog's ear cartilage is different. Don't get frustrated every dog is different my present dog took 5 months with 2 wks of breath rite strips another dog 6 1/2 months. My suggestion is to use the strips for a while, hopefully, it will work. Good luck
