Here is a site to check out: www.neopaws.com I have ordered these boots for our guy for winter (and a sweater, and a seatbelt - got a lottle carried away). Anyway, they have boots for all kinds of applications, look very durable and there is also convenient sizing charts on site too. They also have all kinds of things that look pretty cool. And it is all in Canadian dollars so it would be cheaper for those of you south of the border... :cool2:

PS: I had trouble getting into the boots by going directly on to the site but had no worries when I just googled - neopaws, boots.

They do have a customer referral program, so if you see fit to order anything can you use my number? 484028

Thanks!

Those are serious boots! Good looking tread pattern on those.

I just got Mensa a set of these for half price:

http://www.sierratradingpost.com/product.aspx?baseno=99901&CN=Ruff-Wear-Bark'n-Boots-

These are the same ones Mavis wore hiking. All the time at first, but after she toughened up we just carried them in case of accident or foot injury. Mensa's still too young for a real hike, but that won't be the case forever. Now she will have a pair of her own.

The boots in SunDobe's post look great. Two problems I've encountered with boots are the boot twisting around causing the Dobie to walk on the "upper" instead of the sole. The other is rubbing the Dobie's ankle raw from the "binding". Now I tape her ankles with Vet-Wrap before putting on her shoes. Works well.

The NeoPaws boots look like they won't twist around the wrong way easily, eliminating that worry.

We got these because we were buying muttluks, but they never last. I mean they wear out or break within weeks - such a disappointment. We have tried cheaper brands too, like from Wal Mart, etc.. but they never stay on and the wear is even worse than Muttluks. We have about a foot of snow here and it is COLD, so he needs boots. For what we have spent on boots so far we could have easily bought a few sets of these.

Thanx for the info on these two sources. Java loves the DP in the winter, but I know she's had enough when she starts lifting her paws because they are getting cold. Will also help with the salt on city streets. Will check them out and let you know how it goes!
