How much their puppy dobes weighed when they were 12, 14, or even 16 weeks? I'm trying to see where Sherman is at in relation to other dogs. He turned 15 weeks yesterday and weighs a long and lean 33 lbs.

luna was about 35 lbs at 16 weeks. she is now 21 wks and weighs about 45 lbs. we have another official weigh in tomorrow.
at about 13 weeks Lukas weighed only 18lbs. He was adopted at 8 weeks, and the original owners brother had a bad accident, and the dog was left to be cared by someone else for a week or two, so i think he wasn't fed the correct amount, but at about 4 months he was up to 36 lbs, and now he arounde 5 and a half months hes already 24.5 inches tall, and if i were to guess i would say around 50-55 lbs. So 33lbs sounds like a good health weight according to the 10lbs per month rule (until they are 7 months or so).
Lucan is 13 weeks and weighs 28lbs. I worry that his ribs are showing but he eats 3.5 cups of Canidae dry and 1/4 lb of raw ground beef daily. He never seems to act overly hungry and will sometimes leaves a bit of kibble in his dish, so I think he's doing okay. He seems to have a lot of energy!
I can also see Sherman's rib outline when we are outside which I am told is good... He eats 4 cups of Innova Large Breed Puppy split over 4 meals (1 cup per meal) and scarfs every bit down within 2 minutes (literally) of feeding.

Is there a particular benefit you are getting from feeding 1/4 lb of raw ground beef each day? If so, what is it? Anyone else have any input? If this would be beneficial, maybe I should substitute some beef?
My last Dobe was eating raw ground beef with her kibble and did well on this. She was getting about 1/2 lb. a day mixed with dry. She had a beautiful coat, bright eyes and not one health problem until the day she died at the age of 10
I can get the ground beef for 99 cents/lb so it actually works out cheaper than canned dog food. The breeder recommended adding the beef. Be sure to use the regular ground beef, not lean. Some have suggested feeding it as a seperate meal rather than mixed with the dry, but I have never had a problem mixing them.
Ok are you ready for Petey's stats.....

10 weeks: 20 pounds
4 months: 42 pounds
5 months: 54 pounds
6 months: 70 POUNDS! 26 inches He was weighed and measured this am.

It is my understanding from people on this board, that some Dobies basically slow down to a stop at the age of my Petey and others continue to grow at a much slower rate. It all depends on the lines and the size of the parents. You have to wait and see.

How long have you been feeding the Innova Puppy? I am thinking of using myself. How do you like it?

When Cole was a puppy, I supplemented his kibble with raw ground beef too (the cheapest I could find, nothing lean.) He did well on it also. His handler suggested I do this. But now, he won't touch it.
Jordan is 19 weeks and 34 pounds. He's gained 9 pounds in the 5 weeks since I got him. It may have been slowed some because of the coccidia also. Funny thing is that he looks like he has gained a lot more because he is much bigger, fuller and has a huge chest for his size. I think he'll start growing much more since we've given him two rounds of treatment for the coccidia (hopefully no more) and he gets a healthier food then the shelter was giving him.

I like it a lot and so does he. The ingredient list is great and its just a really nice product.
******* was 27 lbs at 12 weeks, 42 lbs at 16 weeks.
I could post Orson's bi-weekly weight numbers...........but he is not an example to go by since he was under weight and sick (caused by neglect)

You know every puppy is different...and all that blah, blah, blah but a general rule is 10 lbs per month old, give or take a few pounds in either direction until about 6 months of age.
Your pup sounds like he is at a good weight.

Our Jada was about 30 lbs at 16 weeks. She is currently 6 1/2 months and is 60 lbs. I can tell that she is starting to slow on her growth spurt.
