Hi, everyone I'm new to the site but I own a 7 month old red/rust female dobie in Baldwyn Ms. And I was wondering if someone could post some pics of their dobies ears completely relaxed so that I can see how mine are supposed to look. Thanks in advance.

I think you will find that a dobe's ears can position in many ways. From fully laid back or down, to partially erect, and even to "airplane" wings. A lot of times each ear will even just do it's own thing. As long as your puppy's ears are standing well when erect I wouldn't worry over it too much. But because we all like to share photos here...

I would call this the "ears back" position.

relaxed are like airplane wings... it can vary with angles, but they don't really flop down; more like go back...

Thanks guys that helped me out alot. Her ears always stand while alert but I kinda wondered what they should look like when not alert. I guess my job is done as far as the taping. Anyways I'll post photos as soon as I'm on my computer right now I'm using my phone while my computer is in the shop. Thanks again!

Well, they need to be standing while they aren't alert, when they're doing other things its because the dog is HOLDING their ears in other positions! Here's one picture that she was nearly asleep in, she definitely wasn't holding her ears up.

AMY's ears are relaxed to varying degrees, most often...only straight up, less frequent.
