Well as you all probably know my main OBSESSION is rottweilers, but then its dogo argentinos and well you know the third!:biggthump

I got these pictures from my dogo board and with permission of course, here are some pics I thought you all might like.

Bronx and Casse. They are from Denmark so they are all natural.

I love Bronx, he is a good looking dog. Like lyngr, I had never heard of a dogo.
Argentine Dogo's were my first choice. But I ended up redirecting my efforts to find a dobe.

The dogos are wonderful dogs and have many of the traits that the dobermans are known and loved for. Such as loyalty, being part of the family...

Great looking dogs.
They kind of look like pitts. I like the muscular build and short coat.
Yea I probably should have said Dogo agrentino. I guess im so used to typing just dogo! LOL. The dogo.org site is great, has tons of info.

They were bred in (and still are) argentina to hunt boar. They are larger then pitts and actually, of the 10 breeds they were origionally created from, pits werent one of them.. Average about 100lbs, short coat and always all white, except for "pirates" as they call them which can have a black spot on their eyes. Normally their ears are cropped shorter then dobes.

I am SOOOOOOO obsessed with them too. You can probably tell im attracted to large, muscular, athletic breeds with short coats.

They are kind of like dobes. Its funny cuz on the dogo board there are a few people with dobes too and one person said they had dobes for 17 years and never thought they'd get into another breed... til they got a dogo. I sure know how to pic the addictive ones.

I've never seen one in person. Looks like a great dane crossed with a very muscular boxer

Lol! Ive seen them, they are beautiful dogs. They do have boxer and dane blood in them.
It is a beautiful dog that I can see. Both of them are. I'm growing more and more partial to the natural looks now. I guess it is something you get used to.
here is another photo of a Dogo. This is what they typically look like, with the cropped ears.

I love dogo. :) My friend has a presa who is pretty atypical in temperament, but she's the sweetest dog I've ever met. She's a therapy presa canario. Whoa.
nice looking dog. I have never heard of them either. I like the natural look...:)makes them more unique looking and stand out from the breeds they look similar to:)

Same here! I thought I would regret not having the DVDPA crop my pups ears (we had a very short time to decide and being newbs to the breed, we thought it was best to leave them natural <for several reasons>).

I have grown to really LOVE a natural dobe.
