I don't know if they ever mature mentally (HEHE), but when do dobes mature physically? at what age should you expect them to reach full heighth? I know that they still "fill out" as they age. just curious. Thanks.

Usually about 2 years (give/take) they have filled out out fully, and generally about a year they have attainted their full height, more or less.
I have been told that every dog is different. Mr. Orson is 9 months and right now he is 27 3/4 inches.............I would hope he is done height wise, but who knows?
I don't know if mature is the proper word to call it, but they sure aren't a 24/7 puppy anymore. I like Professionally Goofy...
Kratty.

That is funny. I would have to agree
I hope Java always keeps some puppy in her - I'll miss the bows if she grows out of them!
Well Tia is 2 and half and is mature body wise but in her head, well that is another thing she has regressed to Mischa's age.Every dog is different just like humans really my wife says i'm still a big kid.(think young, stay young i say, just wish my body would think it some days)
I don`t think they ever mature. Maybe the bodies by 2 but not the minds. If they did what fun would they be.
Come on guys Buddy will be 9 months old on the 28th please give me some hope it is ok too be goofy but 24/7 the rest of his life please tell me his brain will work one of these days.

Not to worry Javasmom, Tigger was 2 weeks shy of her 15th birthday when we put her down (bone cancer). She had a permanent cast on her back leg were the cancer caused a break and it wouldn't bridge back, BUT she still bowed and did flip butt. It wasn't until the last couple weeks did it take it's toll and she faded pretty fast. But to look at her she didn't look a day over six and up until the broken leg she still played like a puppy.
