Have you googled it? I'd start there or call the vet and ask. Sorry I have no clue about boils, but it wouldn't suprise me to find out they can get them. Maybe a warm compress???
Do dogs get boils?
Nike has what looks like a boil on her foot exactly where the dew claw was removed.
She has had acne for some time so maybe it's just a pimple, but it sure is huge.
I was just at the vet for the acne but missed this until last night.
Anyone know how to treat a boil? (sorry if I've skeeved ya).
P.S. She has been on dogzymes for a few weeks but they don't seem to be helping the blemishes.

Boils are Staph bacteria. I would agree about trying warm compresses. Becareful when it drains to clean it right up, as it can spread. Some people say to drain them, some people say leave to do it on thier own. I would contact the vet.
Hmmm. Makes me wonder if a piece of a stitch or something foreign is working out. You might try sticking her foot in a very warm epsom salt solution or holding a wash cloth dipped in it to the boil for say 10 to 15 mins three or four times a day for a couple of days. It appears as if it may have drained/popped and feels dry now.
She is not favoring it at all. I'll soak it as you suggested and then call the vet if it doesn't improve. Hopefully it was just a big zit. Yuck.

MOlly got the same kind on thing several times on her spay scar and it was stitches working their way out. there were a couple times, they got pretty big and pulling the stitches out scared the bejesus out of me.
