Hello, everyone,

I'm new to the forum. I have two Dobe's, a 6 y/0 male (TJ) and a 6 month old (Tobi.) I had my first Dobe for 10 years (Pony).

TJ was a pretty harmless pup...chewed a couple of pillows, a few newspapers, etc...

Tobi is a real hellion. To date:
-1 $350 cell phone
-several hardcover books (approx $100)
-pillows, comforters, blankets ($200)
-daughter's MP3 player ($80)...constant bitching from daughter (who knows?)
-garden hose ($30)
-remote control for TV (free replacement from cable company)
-1 drumstick caught from Kiss drummer in early 80's (unknown)

At any rate, I guess you could say she's pretty much paid for herself.

Ah, who cares? All that stuff can be replaced. Daily entertainment from having two Dobermans?

Priceless.

I love my dogs.

Sincerely,
JTP

heheh, she got you good! As I've heard before as a repercussion for her actions, you can take a newspaper, roll it up real tight, then beat yourself over the head with it, for letting her have access to the stuff she ate ;) Might as well beat us all over the head while you are at it too!

hey did that make your dogs throw up? cause when I was dog sitting some dogs...they got into some chocolate brownie mix...and the vet connected me to the toxic person...and they said to give each dog a certain amount of hydrogen peroxide...I think a tablespoon for the lab...and I put them outside and sure enough UP and OUT it goes! lol. I think I told the story before...it was also winter...and so the thrown up chocolate froze and I had to make sure they didnt go back out there and eat it when outside to go potty lol!

Man, I have been lucky! Maggie is past the teething stage, and we haven't had a caualty to date (knock on wood).

Having a 3 year old daughter and a 10 month son, I thought we would have problems with her chewing up the kids toys. WRONG! More like trying to keep a crawling baby from chewing on the dog toys! It's always nice to see your little son chewing on a gummy, slobbery soft rawhide.:vomit-smi

If her rope or fluffy toy gets pile in with the kids toys, she retrieves it from the pile like, "no way man - that's mine!" and leaves the kids toys alone.
