IMPORTANT CALL!
The Veterinary Genetics Expertise Centre at the University Clinic for Companion Animals in Utrecht recently discovered two new gene mutations in the Dobermann related to the heart muscle disease DCM. This important discovery is a very big step towards better health within our Doberman population.
The Centre of Expertise can only perform good research if it has access to as much genetic material as possible.
To this end, the Centre of Expertise works closely with EMBARK.
EMBARK offers external DNA tests worldwide and therefore also has DNA data of many Dobermanns.
Should you have DNA of you Dobermann(s) stored at EMBARK, we urge you to release this DNA to the Genetics Expertise Centre. You can easily do this at [https://survey.uu.nl/jfe/form/SV_9n8jJzWF5pFR7Ho
