Okay, this is an idea that was inspired by "Nox's'" in their thread, located here: http://www.dobermantalk.com/doberman-related-chat/64455-martingale-contest.html#post1049489

I thought, this would be a great idea, because until our pups are full grown, they are worse than kids wearing out runners, always buying the next size collar as our babies keep getting bigger.
I have always been less inclined to buy pricey quality collars, as I live just a comfortable life and cant afford to use an item for a short period and then let it collect dust. In my current situation with Nubis, Id like to get him a nicer quality collar but I know I will get limited use out of it, so i would normally hold off but my Boy needs a bit of bling bling.
So I am going to order him, the Dante Collar, and once he outgrows it, I will ebay it and proceeds will goto a Dobe Rescue.
NOw, this is where it gets good, if we keep this thread going and other people jump in, we can have collars that keep on giving, and Rescues will get much needed Money.
This idea, is very dear to my heart, as long story short, to this day, I do not know the faith of my Kaiser and Lady. I pray in my quietest and saddest moments that they made it to a rescue and was loved by someone. I try my hardest to avoid thinking that their were euthanized.
Some day, when all our cats are passed on, I will definately get a rescue, because I owe it to my K&L.

Hopefully others, think this is a great idea and have collars collecting dust, that others woulr be willing to buy, at a reduced price, temporarily use till their pup outgrows them and put it back in the pool.

If nobody follows suit, that is okay, but i will get Nubis his Dante Collar, and once the sapper outgrows it, Im making my donation.

Lets see now how long it takes to get that bling bling to my door . LOL
Pics to follow.

Does it have to be a fancy collar? What about harness's? I'm sure diesel will outgrow plenty of collars the one he has now will almost be outgrown and id love to give money to a rescue. This is a great idea!

Thanks.
I might not sure, if ppl would be willing to pay for a lower priced collar.
Kind of reason for the thread, lets see what people think.
I know from what i see by the time, I can get this Dante collar, I might be close to $140+ . So if I could get that collar used for say, $60, Id pay it, given the actual price. .

Last time one of my paracord collars (custom colors) went for 52$ Pretty awesome I thought.

Great Idea, I was just going to give the collar away and have the winner donate to a rescue and make a game out of it (posting). Now I'm just going to send it to Dan as soon as I find an addy ;)
Plus these are nice well made collars that will last for some time, I definitely think pple will buy them!

Btw, I love the Dante collar! I have a similar one with the same skull from The Antik Group. Minimum neck size is min 18.5 so I hope my pup grows into it, or I'll be donating it to a Mastiff Rescue lol

I donate all collars, clothing and even crates I don't use to rescues :)

I also check out the bargain bins while I'm out shopping. I found AKC collars at Target for $1.50 each. I purchased a few and put them in my rescue goodie box.
That's a good idea. I will have to check if their is one nearby.
I have a bunch of nylon collars and even crate, im sure they could use.

I see you got the DAN addy now, I am sure they will like it.
Yes, they definitely look like quality made collars. I have priced around and not many have liners at a fair price. I have seen some skull medallian collars but not as slick as the Dante Collar. Maybe someday I'll get a sidecar for my bike and Nubis can ride with me, showing off his skull collar hahaha.
