Hi folks,
I' Chaz and my Dobie's name is Mavis. She's seven. I've had her since she was eleven months. I have three other dogs; two labs, and a Doberman-Boxer (we think) mixed. They share a household with a cat, a bird, two goats, and a donkey. The dogs and I enjoy hiking and bike riding in the mountains, which are just a ten or fifteen minute drive up the road. We also make it down to the dog beach at Huntington at least a few times during the summer. We go to the dog parks two or three times a week to keep them properly socialized. I work out of the house so I am able to spend a lot of time with them. They all get along great, but Mavis is the top dog. She spends all day keeping the other three in line, a big responsibility.
Can anybody fill me in as how to post pictures on this site? I am a total computer newbie, so if you can help please start at the very beginning; like "insert disk with pictures into computer". Don't worry about under-estimating my level of skills or inteligence.
I am glad I found this site as I have already learned a great deal from everyone here.

Welcome Chaz! You've got a life that I envy!! I would love to be surrounded by so many critters :) I can't wait to see pics of them all :)

To post those pics (and hopefully there will be many) you need to upload them onto the net. Since I can't open our gallery for some reason, I'll give you on how to do it from photobucket.
Step one, download the pictures onto your computer and remember what file you've saved them too (I had great difficulty remembering that little bit :)
2. go to http://photobucket.com and create an account.
3. upload the photos. If you want to upload more than one just click on the little drop down thingy where it says "submit multiple pictures" and click on the number of photos you want to upload. To upload, simply click on "browse" and then find the file on your computer, then click submit. Depending on the size of the photo or the quantity, it may take a minute or two... Check the box of the image/s that you want to share and scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Generate HTML and IGM codes" copy the 4th choice "IMG images for message boards"
4. Log onto doberman talk and start a new thread in whichever forum you choose and paste the code you just copied from photobucket.

Once I can get into the gallery here, I'll post directions on how to use it :)

Hope my directions weren't too convoluted :)

Hi Chaz welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy it.

As tracy said you have to upload your photo first and then attach it to the thread.

Our photo gallery should be operating 100% now so feel free to upload your Dobe pictures to our gallery.

Gidday Chaz, welcome to the forum! Heaps of great info here. That's one of the bonuses of being on a breed specific forum, everyone understands each other's problems, and those funny little dobe quirks! :)
