Brio--Sharjet's Confidence Game

Well this was unexpected! We'd headed east on 5/2 to visit family, and got a call from Sharon Marinelli of Sharjet dobermans, that she had a puppy for us! She was one of the 2 breeders we'd narrowed down to for a fall puppy, but she wanted this boy to go to a working home. She also would like for him to go into the show ring, so I told her I'd dust off my handling skills and have a go at that, too!

His name is "Brio", which is a musical term that means "spirited" and he certainly is! Registered name is "Sharjet's Confidence Game", and he's all that, too. We picked him up today and he has approached everything boldly, checking out every new thing he sees. He did well traveling today and will hopefully handle the crate overnight okay.

OOOHHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYY GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sooooooooo happy for you!! (and so jealous you didn't have to play the anticipation game haha!!) I know this was not in the plan for you right now, but everything happens for a reason and I think Brio is your perfect pup! I CANNOT wait to see him grow and watch all you do together! Maybe once he settles in we can have a phone call or facetime and you can help me with my handling/ training game, or we can just talk baby Dobermans. Either way I am so happy for you. I am looking forward to possible puppy meeting colt images once your colt comes home. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall when you got that phone call.

Editing because I forgot to say how absolutely perfect he is!!!!!!!! I love the sound of his bold personality. Blitz is like that and I truly believe it has made owning him so much easier, because not much bothers him. I hope you have the same smooth ride. I know you guys are going to do amazing with each other

Lolol! You are too much! I'd love to chat sometime about puppies! Sharon gave me a list of things to socialize your puppy to, and we are quickly checking those off as we travel! And he just takes them all in stride.

It was a big surprise to get an email from Sharon saying "Please call me ASAP" last Thursday. We were going to NJ to meet her anyway and talk about a possible puppy from a summer/fall litter. The biggest obstacle was that we drove the car instead of the truck (a lot more room) and had zero supplies--no crate, no food, no nothing. Sharon said "I've got everything you need and I'll get you set up" and she gave us a crate and a huge bag of supplies, toys, supplements, food, etc etc. We did have to do some jenga with everything in the car to fit it all around the crate and supplies, but we managed, so far so good!

Going to be a very busy summer with both baby puppy and baby horse!

He is a beautiful puppy. I so wish that people could see the immediate difference between a well-bred puppy like this and the byb puppies. It's just so nice when you see a well-bred puppy come home in good condition, nails nice and short, ears done, nice dock, dark eyes, shiny coat, etc. Nothing to feel sorry for here!

This is not fair !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO months of wondering when the breeder will call or IF they will call , And when they do , NO anticipation of puppy pickup day ? LOL
