So I'm still trying to get help deciding if my 5 month old blue tick walker mix, also has doberman in her. I saw that hyperthyroidism is a common occurrence in dobermans and it really makes me wonder. For some reason, m thg baby's hair Is falling out like crazy and she has dandruff something awful. Her armpits are balding. She just started this about a month ago.any suggestions? Is she part doberman?

Five months would be extremely young for thyroid issues to show up. I'd be seeing a vet to try and identify what's going on...could be all kinds of things that have nothing to do with breed issues.

Kind of looks like heeler rottie mix to me. The only true way of knowing would be a DNA test, and even still...

If you can get to a Vet Dermatologist I highly recommend this. Vet Dermatologist see skin issues on a daily basis. It is worth the money to get a definitive answer without having to waste money going to a regular vet and not getting immediate results
