Spent part of our weekend at the Annual Barkfest in our area. Its sponsored by a St Huberts Animal Welfare Center. It was to raise money for the rescue, show case their adoptables, vendor booths, areas to try your hand at agility, obstacle courses, frisbee & fetch, and a lure course. They were also auditions for Letterman's Stupid Pet Tricks going on too. Even with the occasional rain going on, the turn out was pretty good.
There were a few hundred dogs there. Nikki ran into some old friends there and also made some new friends.
She also got to showcase her frisbee skills to everyone.
We tried to do the Lure Course they had setup. She never did it before, so I didn't know what to expect. It was a rag that was attached to a moveable string that went around a course for the dogs to chase.
I would have to say, she was more curious than driven to get the rag. She cruised after it, but never really got the bug to chase it. Oh well, It was her first time, but she had fun anyway. It was fun for all for a great cause.
