Bad tail docking and infected?

TRIGGER WARNING*
Hello everyone!
I please ask you to not be rude. I rescued a now 12 day old female puppy. The “breeder” worked most of the day and the puppy would not latch on to mom. She was giving away the puppy for free and even provided milk replacer and bottle. I’ve had her since 2 days ago but I barely noticed that her docked tail seems infected. I rinsed it off with warm water and a scab was falling off and then I noticed I can see her bone. (So there is no extra skin to heal properly) 😶 I’ve seen forums here where they say they can wait until ear cropping or until spay/neuter to re-crop and fix the issue. Since I don’t like how it looks and I believe is infected, can I take her at this days old to get the tail redone. Will they use anesthesia or would it be without just like if they were 2-3 days old? I will not attach a picture of the bone because I am not sure if there are very sensitive people here. The bone is right under that scab. It’s not sticking out from the skin but it’s right there in the edge.
Side note: I am keeping the “breeder” updated with her and mentioned this to her yesterday night (that it seemed infected). I sent her a picture and she sent it to the “Vet guy” (I’m not sure if it IS really a Vet or not) and that the “Vet” said it was normal and that it would heal nicely and the hair will grow while healing. I attached the pictures I sent her. The purple seen one the tail is “blue lotion” Mind you I had not noticed the bone at the tip at that time (yesterday). My vet of choice that I have gone to my whole life doesn’t do crop nor dock so I think will need to find another one that does so that they can redo the dock.

Forgot to add, those pics are from last night. Right now more scabs formed around where you can see the skin on the pictures. So I don’t know if it’s healing and I can wait or take her tomorrow and start seeing who can redo the tail before she’s older and feels more.
It also doesn’t seem like it bothers her at all but just wondering if it was best to fix it now or when older.
I would get this puppy to your vet for a whole host of reasons, including this.

So would I and if you have a vet that you trust even if he normally doesn't do docking most vets can do a tail repair and that's what it looks like this will take.

I would not wait--infects can travel up the tail and then that puppy could be in big trouble because he doesn't have enough tail to be messing with an infection too.

To the vet! Tail needs repair. It it very short. That's not the problem. The tail needs to be cleaned, closed up and bandaged if possible. On the other end of the spine is the brain stem. The shape your pupstail is in is dangerous to your pup's life. Easy to be cared for by any vet, NOW. What are you feeding her? I use Goats milk. I do not know the concensus on this. You might ask.At 12 days old, she's a fighter, with that tail, and no mama. It's round the clock care, huh?

Mari, the criticism is not with you. Bless you for keeping this baby going, it is with the breeder. Did you try reintroducing this baby back to dam, now that she made it this far? Not before tail is Vet bandaged though.

Well I got her 2 days ago and she still would not latch on to the Dam. I am bottle feeding her but force feeding, for some reason she does not suck on the bottle at all. It looks like if she’s trying to but once in a while. I am feeding her PetAg Milk Replacer Plus. It is round the clock care. This is my first time doing this but I am 100% dedicated to help her. I am also keeping her. I am getting attached to her so I will be keeping her with me. I will take her to my Vet first thing in the morning tomorrow and I’ll update y’all.

Balacoo silicone long nipple. Put over syringe. Flattens in mouth like dobie teat. Poor suckers,(nursers) can't suckle easily. This nipple lays the length of tongue to back of mouth. The pup can get a better seal as opposed to none at all. Plus, with a syringe, no air bubbles means no colic. Try goats milk, about $5 a quart. Plus you know exactly how much you are getting down your pup with a syringe. Warm the goats milk like you would for a baby.

Hypo 5 to 10 ml/cc size from Amazon also. You already have bottles to heat milk in. Important part is getting pup over hump to eat solid. At Vets: some vets will not give little guys saline, because it will drop their Temps. Get some other opinions on DT. Before you go if you can. Personally if they need fluids, this young, they are not thriving, And I say some please, just a little.. fill up latex gloves with very warm water and put on both sides of pup to keep warm. Still, cold saline is risky so ask the experts here. Good luck. If your pup starts to fade, emergency vet may not save her. So take her now. My heart goes out to you!

Also, ask your vet to give her some glucose in her mouth, if he thinks it will help. He will know best.

Does she have a cleft palate or an issue with her mouth that she can't latch?

No she does not have any visible problems with her mouth. I think she was the runt but I am not sure if that’s common with runts of the litter.

Don’t probably look for signs of regular pain or discomfort when it comes to this tail. If she is barely surviving something like this will not likely appear to cause her discomfort. Her body is too busy fighting other ways. I hope she can hang in for the fight. Let us know what the vet says. Poor little girl

These fights for life are heart wrenching. With you, dear! If you are not too tired, let us know what the vet did and said.
