Haven't tried it but looks like really good food! from what you quoted. Good luck with it and keep us posted on how it works out. :)

I haven't tried this formula, but my two have eaten Prairie and Pacifica and do very well on both!

I haven't tried it on my own dogs (don't want to mess with their sensitive systems), but I've had a few customers at work who are really pleased with it. I thought about getting Dance a bag of it but then ended up switching her to raw instead and so I never ended up trying it.

When they started selling the duck and bartlett as well as lamb and apple, I decided to try the lamb and apple as they marketed it as a 'hypoallergenic' food.

It was ok. Did nothing amazing, didn't change his itching at all, same energy, same stools, etc., a 15lb bag did last me over 20 days though which is pretty impressive.

I too thought of possibly trying the duck and bartlett, but went with lamb instead. Let us know how it works!

I will, my girl is allergic to lamb so they actually told me there could have been cross contamination in the orginal prairie. Maybe their single ingredient formulas are more carefully processed now, I hope.

You know, I actually wondered about cross contamination a few months ago. Keira's been eating and doing well on Pacifica for a long time, but we had one bag where she was super itchy, had diarrhea, and smelled funny. I usually hear of any impending ingredient changes, but I thought maybe something snuck by without my knowing. After that bag though, everything has been normal. So I don't know what it was. The food wasn't bad (it smelled the same as always, looked the same, Dance ate some and was fine, etc.), but Keira is allergic to practically everything we've ever tried besides fish, so I tend to think maybe some chicken or something got into a batch. It's the only problem we've ever had with the brand, and they were nice when I talked to them on the phone, though they didn't know what happened. If that's what it was, I would hope they would be more careful with their Singles line since it's meant for allergies and whatnot.

I've introduced it at half since I still have some Nature's Variety left.

Could be the mixture, so I won't rule it out yet, but now I have back the infamous dobergas....

I might just switch over now, and see....because NO, I don't do dobergas food....lol

Wow, the ingrediants sound delicious. Have not tried the food though.

I don't want to interupt this thread, but wanted to add that we feed Premium Edge (its own company) made in Missori, USA. Recommended to us by the "feed" specialist where I buy my equine & canine food. This particular brand is not found at any other stores. The results have been excellent for a GSD with allergies plus 2 active Dobermans.
