Hey,

First off, my name is John and I am new to this site (I have read numerous threads, but this is the first one I have made), so "Hi!"

Secondly, I just had a question concerning breeders in PA. I have read numerous threads about different breeders located in PA, and have gone onto the DPCA breeder referral site, but I still am unsure of what to do next . I was really hoping to purchase a Doberman that came from a Schutzhund bloodline. The only site I have found that has had this (or so they say), was deemed untrustworthy by other Dobermantalk members (and I trust all of ya), so I need help! I was hoping one of you could possibly point me in the direction of a great breeder in Central Pennsylvania that breeds Dobermans with very strong natural protection instinct. I don't mind a drive for a good dog, but was looking to stay around $1,500 and under a 4 hour drive!

Well, that's my story! Thanks for all your help! :nicejob:

Hey there! While I can't help with your breeder problem, I just wanted to say that "Invictus" is always my Username! Except now ;) When I saw your name I had to look again. Fantastic word!

@Reptilehoundz, @sinister

Reptilehoundz,

Invictus is a great word, and an even better poem by William Ernest Henley! :nicejob:

Sinister,
Thanks so much for the response! I will look into Cara Dobermans!

I really like Case!

OP: here's vom Koby Haus's website:

Chaos vom Koby Haus

Koby Haus is in NY and has an AKC Ch, SchH3 male.

Rebholzer is in VT, but not sure if she will be having a litter anytime soon.

Moeller Hof is in NC.

A really nice litter I know f now is in KY at Masaya Dobes. It would be a drive but worth it for a very nice schutzhund prospect.

this x100. there are only female pups available, and i was really considering getting a puppy from this litter but alas, not the right time. :)

i would definitely recommend this litter for a nice Schutzhund dog.

You will see, if you haven't already, driving distances are nothing when you want "that" doberman puppy.

I have to chuckle over driving distances that are discussed on this forum. And Emmie came from North of Salt Lake City. Go with a friend. You can rate your words per mile that way. But honestly, it's a matter of just doing it. We used to drive 5 hours one way to watch our boys play basketball. And I wouldn't think of giving up those trips if I had to.

You mentioned "Schutzhund Lines"...What exactly do you mean by this? This is different for different people. It could mean anything from a Euro showline with some of the dogs getting an IPO1 (and I guarantee some of the working ability of some "titled" dogs is marginal) or a pure working line with virtually every dog for many generations having the Schutzhund title and over 90% with multiple Sch3's.

What do you plan to do with the dog? Do you have prior experience in bite sports? These are the kinds of questions you will have to answer to a working line breeder. I don't know if the litter is spoken for yet but the most promising litter I know of in the Northeast for a future working dog would be Chalmar's current litter.

If that litter has no puppies available and you want excellent working potential then you probably would be looking at an airline flight for the puppy.
