I took the pups to the local nature preserve to run and play on Sunday. Here are just a few photos from our outing. I have more that I need to resize still, but I haven't gotten around to it. Here are a few until I finish uploading the rest!

I am bug huntin'...

Liberty was SO cute 1/2 second before this photo was taken. She then decided to put on the brakes mid-stride to pee. I decided to post it anyway because her head reminds me SO much of her papa, and we have lots of Alex babies on these boards.

Pictures of Libs are deceiving. She looks like a big girl, but she is ~62lbs and between 24.5-25" tall. She looks so prissy when she moves, too. It cracks me up. She just has a lot of bone for a bitch of her size.

I need to take some better pictures of the collars and their new tags, but they look so fantastic! I was thrilled when I got them, and I really think they suit both dogs very well.

Thanks! Alex just makes such beautiful babies! I know in some of your other posts, you said Tali is significantly shorter than Fi; if you don't mind me asking, how tall are they? I know Fi had a pretty late growth spurt, but I think Libbers is likely done growing upwards. I hope she's close to done beefing up because she's a little powerhouse already!

I know my two would love yours! Their eyes light up anytime they see other dobes. They always seem so happy when they get to play with eventermal's pair.

They don't fight ever. They will wrestle and body slam each other probably an hour out of every day, but otherwise they sit around and lick each other's ears.

I actually haven't ever seen anything bigger than a rabbit there. They would both chase after the deer until I yelled at them to stop. They will both chase bugs, rabbits, or whatever will run away, but their recalls are reliable. Nietzsche will turn on a dime, and Libbers will hesitantly come back even though she makes it obvious that she'd rather keep chasing.

The dogs are on leash most of the time as the place has a lot of paved paths for bikers and joggers. I only let them off leash on the dirt trails when back away from 99% of the people there.



Isn't it crazy how much Lib's face has matured over the past few months? I don't see ANY puppy anymore. Her body is still changing a bit, but her face almost did a 180!

I don't mind at all.

Tali is 24" and around 58-60 lbs. Fiona is 27" and 70-72 lbs. Fi has turned out bigger than I expected. Her height came much, much earlier than her muscle fill. She was a lanky monkey for so long that I thought she'd be a small girl.

I hear you on the powerhouse thing. Tali is denser than people expect. They see her standing next to Fiona and assume she's a dainty little girl but she is solid and can plow through and over some people as members at the training club have learned the hard way. LOL They know Fiona is a force to be reckoned with because they've watched her grow and she's such a whirlwind of mass but Tali surprises people.
