He has a boy and a girl.. He has fallen on hard times and is forced to give up his Dobermans. He was crying onthe phone to me.. I know this is very hard for him as they are his life..

Poor DoberKids! What a tragedy. Being forced to give up one's beloved pets is every responsible pet owner's nightmare.
Are these Dobes AKC-registered? If so, can the breeder can be contacted? (If the breeder refuses to help, please let us know.)

Has he contacted the breeder to see if they will take them back?
I am the breeder and yes they are AKC. If Spirit was not so old I would take them in a heartbeat!!! That is why he contacted me first.. I am contacting everyone I know that would love to give these two beautiful babies a home..

If they are spayed and neutered he can contact IDR + and see if they can be listed as a referral
hope all turns around for him and his dobes . maybe his luck will turn for the best or maybe they can be fostered for him for a while

I thought part of the responsabilities of breeding a litter of puppies was to take them back if something ever happened where the owner could not keep them?
I know a couple of breeders and they take them back no matter what the expense, age or circumstances
