I highly doubt it, and I would hope not anyway. Schutzhund is not something you would want aired on national television, it would create an complete uproar and create an enormous controversy. I remember when Animal Planet did a little thing on whippets, they refused to show racing whippets wearing muzzles because it "made them look mean". Oh brother.

Animal Planet has run a series of programs showing miliitary dog training, and it definitely included bitework. Some channel I don't remember if it was Animal Planet, showed some police dog competitions from Canada or somewhere, not the US, also.

I can understand if it was in the context of police or military as those are service dogs that our tax dollars actually pay for. I don't know if they would cover bitework as a "hobby sport" for the general public though.

I have seen the police dog teams doing there thing on tv before. I loved to watch it. Yes, it was animal planet now that I think of it. I remember the opne team lost on the recall. (Where they send the dog after them, and then call them back.) All were GSD's and Mals if I remember.

Miss Jacoso is a male am I right? I have seen his name on pedigrees before. I remember a few pictures too, he was not a handsome fellow, but Super smart I'm sure.

Agir is a male. He has competed at (and done very well) the top levels of Schutzhund. He is around 8 years old now I think, but he looks great for his age and is still going strong.

Here are some of Agir's accomplishments (taken from his webpage)

Selected to represent the United States six times in Europe

FCI IPO World Championship (France - 2004; Slovenia - 2006)

dhv Deutsche Meisterschaft (Mönchengladbach-Rheydt - 2004; Cottbus - 2005)

IDC Dobermann World Championship (Germany - 2005; Italy - 2006)

2006 Competitor, IDC World Championship; High Protection (97), 5th overall

2006 AWDF National Championship: 3rd overall (tied for 2nd), High Tracking (100)

2005 Competitor, IDC World Championship: High Protection (98)

2005 DVG SchH3 National Champion: High Protection (98)

2004 AWDF National Champion

2004 DVG SchH3 National Vice-Champion

2003 AWDF National Championship, Helper's Choice

2003 DVG SchH2 National Championship, 3rd place

Butch and Agir scored an 84 in obedience and a 91 in protection today. Their flight will track tommorrow morning at 9:30.

Tori and Jingo will do obedience tommorrow at 10, and protection at 12, then they will track on Sunday at 9:20.

(Crossing my fingers!)
