doberman breeding

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible for a purebred doberman to have slightly longer hair than usual? I know dobies are short hair, and my dog’s hair is definitely short. But this lady who wants our dogs to mate has a bitch with noticeably longer hair than mine, and a lot more hair too. Below...

I'm looking for a reputable breeder in the New Jersey area so: Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, Virginia is okay for me anybody have any suggestions? This is going to be my first dog as well when talking to a breeder what should I be looking for?
