division 7 point schedule problem

Ok, I was arguing with a friend that it takes 4 bitches to make one point in TX, and she swore it only took 2. I pulled up the 2010 schedule for dobes on DPCA, and sure enough, it said 4 bitches. She just sent me this link to the schedule as listed on AKC:

http://www.akc.org/pdfs/events/confo.../division7.pdf

and it says 2!

I guess we should go ahead and believe AKC?

Here is the link to DPCA:

Shows | Point Schedule

Aura's Zatanna Abra AKC ptd.
"Vixie" (Papillon) NA NAJ

It says 2 dogs or bitches to make 1 point in Texas on the DPCA site. Okay I am looking at the 2011 schedule, so with the number of entries falling they probably have lowered it. This schedule goes into effect May 11, 2011.

Alright it says 4 bitches on the DPCA site in 2010. Don't know which you would go by. Sorry...

Yep, but if you scroll down it says 4 until may 11. The show this is concerning is the 8-9th.

Yes I corrected myself at the end of my post. I really don't know who would have the final say. Maybe pm murreydobe or velmadobe since murrey is on vacation. sorry.

AKC IS the FINAL say in regards to point schemes regardless where the point schedule is publised.

It is was is published in the show's catalog at the end of a breed's listing

Have fun

Jacque

ABSOLUTELY!!!

Every year when the point schedule changes there always seem to be a bunch of people who can't figure out how many points, in some division or other.

Since the AKC developed the formula, sets the points and publishes them AND applies them to wins for a dog according to the date the dog won them all you have to do is look at what date the schedule covers and you'll be able to figure it out.

If there is any sort of a question about points earned at a particular show the AKC has the final say.
