Bodhi's first show 12 months old

Just a few pictures from Bodhi first show. Even though he didn't place in his class, he did everything we were hoping for. Easy to handle. Kept his cool. Seemed to enjoy the whole show scene, and seeing him with so many other Dobermans (29 entry) we feel confident he is going to be competitive.

The first picture is hilarious. It was the first day of showing and that judge coming at him from the side, you can see Bodhi was going to keep an eye on him in case he wasn't to be trusted!

Second pic, he did fine coming back to the judge without have to touch or adjust a leg or whatever.

He is going to be fun to show. Later as he matures we may have to consider a handler for him.

Aunt Bonnie , Your Handler don't have her mask over her nose ! I have heard the last few weeks that that can be a make or break if the shows are to continue . I'm surprised the officals let that fly and I see one not even masked up .

Bodhi is looking good !

I will say that your handler has a pretty dress on - Lots of color ! very pretty !

Doc, I noticed her mask, too. She said she couldn't breath when running around the ring. With the smoke and mask it was difficult breathing all that carbon monoxide.

Hey, Ken, looks like LaDi already chastised you... I think your point was missed, that dog show handlers typically wear those frumpy, drab outfits, so not to distract from the dogs they're handling!

Always great to have a positive first experience for a puppy at their first shows! I showed (and finished) a friend's dog in July and we were allowed to pull down our masks when moving the dogs in the ring. A face shield is the best way to go because you can keep bait in your mouth and still abide by "the rules"!

She is a sharp dresser - end of story

She gets that from Aunt Bonnie

As far as masks - 2 ply is the minimum requirements - I have a few 2 ply and some up to 4 - the 4's are tough to breath threw .

Doc, MB goes to Filer, Idaho (next to Twin Falls) for three shows Oct 2,3 and 4.
She's on her own as I will have to hold the Fort together down here.
That will probably be it for this year.

Ah - a nice pedigree without the current flavor of the month in it
Aaron Dwight breeds a nice dog - I will admit to that even though the two of us rarely ever see eye to eye on anything else - haha. How did you end up with an east coast puppy from way out west?

Yeah, I saw that. Joan Witt was one of my mentors for years - I live about an hour from her. I'm thinking you got a puppy from one of her last litters. I have not talked to her in a long time - she has really pulled back from the dog world.

It was her last litter. So fortunate to have one of her Dobermans. She still has not overcome the tragedy her family faced.
