Finally I decent show pic!

Sorry for the resolution but you have to take a picture of the picture. It's a good picture of Gretchen, at least from the ones I've seen.

Karen... Your "mutt" is absolutely beautiful. I see a "Ch" before her name in the very near future!

That is a great win photo!

NIce girl, not 'overdone', balanced front to rear.

A really nice example of our breed.

Good luck at her upcoming shows.

GO Gretchen GO!

Small? She actually hits the standard perfectly at 25 inches.

Well, for one thing it's a bitch and she doesn't look small to me--seems to be nice mid range size.

I actually like the picture of her outside with WD standing behind her GR--but it's a decent picture and she's a nice bitch.

... becsuse dobermans are a MEDIUM sized breed. She isn't small. If you want a large / giant dog, get a great dane.

Oh that's not G that's Marienburgs Roni. And behind him is St Kreals Vassal. I was just showing that it's hard to tell a euro from an AM show dog. Both of those dogs are Euro.

It's probably bc she's standing on something and my handler is taller. If you look at my handlers arm it's going straight out and the podium isn't as high as it appears in the pic. This photographer is known to be sucky but there isn't much you can do.

<G> It takes stuff so long to load a picture because I'm dial up that a lot of times I come back to look and see if some picture loaded--and don't read what the picture is actually of--(I know, don't end sentences with prepositions) I think I did that with that picture. I recognized the St Kreal dog (at least I recognised him as a St Kreal dog because I've now seen pictures of three St Kreal dogs and I like them quite a lot from their pictures--I'd sure like to see one of them in person.

For the record (just in case you wondered) the reason I wasn't crazy about the picture of Gretchen (although I've sure seen worse) is that the photographer managed to take a shot where you can't see her rear because she disappears into the handlers clothing.

I hate shots like that and for years in the Pacific Northwest we had a photographer who did a lot of the shows and took a million shots like that. He took a shot of one of my dogs who had just gotten a 4 point major--the back ground was an enormous dark room (they had only lighted about half of it because we were a single specialty showing that day)--he set up with the dogs in front of the very dark background and took all the pictures over the top of the dog. So my black dog looked (because of shadows and the fact the the shot was taken with the camera aimed down) very much like a pregnant dachshund. Considering this was a young, rather leggy male it was amazing how very bad the picture was. My breeder handler said "You are NOT buying that picture.." I showed it to the photographer at the next show we were both at he turned beet red and said "I can't sell you a shot like that..." I bit my tongue and didn't mention the fact that he'd been selling me similar shots for years.
