Not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this- not even sure anyone will see it. But I recently lost my beloved Teddy and really just felt like sharing, so here it goes...
Teddy came into our lives 8+ yrs ago as a puppy. We were supposed to get a different Doberman, but when the breeder brought the other dog out he went crazy, running and jumping around (as puppies do!) and teddy just snuck out and sat right in between our legs, we didn’t choose him, he chose us. Every day after that was a gift. I loved him so very much, he was the smartest, most loyal, snugliest, best dog ever. His passing came as a sudden complete shock and I miss him so much everyday. He was my best friend, and I struggle to share my heartache. I know there is so many, much greater tragedies out there, but I can’t explain the hole in my heart my teddy left. I miss him and I love him, and as much as I love and want another dog, I’m not sure how long it will take for me to want anything short of Teddy. Love to all my fellow Doberman owners , we are the lucky ones❤️

I'm sorry for your loss.

She is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are her life, her love, her leader.
She will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of her heart. You owe it to her to be worthy of such devotion.

Thanks for sharing that tribute of Teddy with us.
It’s OK to lean on us as we understand your pain better than most.
That pain is just unbearable at times and IMO grief feels like a wave.
Emotions come and go. You have it together and then out of no where ...boom.
So try not to hold back those emotions just let it rip.
Feel free to share stories or PICs if you like just know that we are all here for you during your tough times.
That what we do in this forum, help each other out.
Love you Teddy, now run and be free and tell all of our pups how much we miss them. Many pokes Teddy.

Lyndsay, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. When you say, ' I can't explain the hole in my heart'....I think those of us here having lost our Doberman, know exactly what you are saying.
A Doberman comes into your heart and never, never leaves. They are that special. As much as it hurts, yes, we are the lucky ones to have known that devotion and love.

Please share stories and pictures when you can.
