Books

Why don't they write books on how to deal with the death of your beloved pets?

They do Oreo, but you have to dig to find them. I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my Gadget boy within a year of losing my Father. I know it may seem horrible now and the pain so very intense, just give yourself time. We all grieve differently, and what may seem normal for one is not for another. Be kind and good to yourself. Although right now it seems impossible, when you least expect it you will have dealt with things and feel better. Again my heart aches for you and your loss....

Google "pet loss grief support". There are many support boards and books available. Even a hotline.

I know how much it hurts. It has been one the hardest things in my life to go through and my life has been filled with bumps in the road. It does get easier with time, but you need to grieve first.

Oreo
Coal is right you have to grieve first. No rights are wrong either. It took me a long time with my Sadie. I can now talk and think about her with all the funny things she did. It will happen for you to.

When I lost my Oscar (cat) I cried and cried. Because I had to make the choice to put him to sleep. I held him while they did it and I cried so much. He was my baby and only 5yrs old They gave me some papers with info on how to deal with losing a pet. It also had a hotline you could call to talk to someone about it. It's a hard process to go through, thats for sure. I'm sorry for your loss and hopefully you can find a great support group or even a book to help you over come this loss.

Good Luck!
