Sometimes life just isn't fair...

Less than 72 hours after he's given, the stuffy is dead. RIP Stuffy #6

Sorry for the crappy camera phone pic, BF stole the good camera.

72 hours??? That stuffy had a good, long life. I've given Fiona a stuffy, watched her thrash it around for about 2 minutes and had to take immediately back because she was un-stuffing it's head. Oh, the wounded look of disappointment they give you when you take it away is so pitiful too.

RIP Stuffy. We hardly knew ye...and well done Loki (that is a really cute/funny pic too).

Sometimes? For Stuffies, where Dobes are concerned, life is ALWAYS unfair And yeah, 72 hours is kind of a record where Dante is concerned -- their poor stuffies never clock more than 2 minutes at a time LOL

What has Dante & his sidekick Atia been up to lately? Find out at:

Bahahah Sky gets sooo angry at me when I take away the stuffy remains... She will sit and wait for me to give it back or if she sees me toss it she will cry at the trash can for a minute until she finds something else to destroy.

For me the worst stuffy death was this generic duck toy I got from the local bi-mart pet section, it looked pretty convincingly like a real duck and the quack was amazingly duck-like, so Tre would bite it and it would quack with each chomp.... then the frenzied killing began accompanied by fainter and fainter quacks until the poor duck stuffy was silent (wiping tears....). My doberman is a brute.

I have found a toy that squeeks that kobe has yet to destroy. It does not have any stuffing in it. We are going on 2 weeks now. The skunk rocks.

I think they don't want them to see what is being done to them. Of course the nose/mouth/ears are next to go. Then any extremities. Lastly the head and the stuffing. To a Dobe that is a good time.

I have seen these, I think. They are animals like skunks, squirrels, maybe a fox? They are just the fur body but without stuffing, right? I need to buy some of those.

72 Hours? He was old and geriatric! The best thing to have done was to have put him out of his misery. Your dog was wonderfully sympathetic to his pain and set him to rest, lol.

In my house, Nato is a mass murderer of stuffies! After they're destuffed, he likes to carry around the carcasses and show off his accomplishments

Are you going to share with all of us where we can buy this toy? Or are you keeping it all for yourself?! Fiona really likes the Cuz toys - they're stuffing and squeaker free. Somehow the squeaker is built into the toy.

First thing Gunner goes for is the noise maker!!!

Piper on the other hand is pretty good with stuffies but is awful with bedding.

We started going out to the local Thrift shops and getting comforters from them to bring home, wash, and use for Piper. Gunner respects his bedding.

Such strange creatures.

Yeaaa those cost about 10-20$ a pop... Sky and I will make them for you for 5$

I came in and realized what she'd done my first thought was oh noes it was a squeaker, please oh please don't have eaten it.... then I realized she'd pulled it out, chewed it until it stopped squeaking, then left it.

We have a box of "stuffies" in the garage that haven't quite "died". We call it the Isle of Misfit Stuffies (missing faces and other bodyparts). When Max is in a serious "I want to kill something mood". We give him one of those. It dies a quick and painless death.

Hahaha... another who thinks 72 hours was a good run. She's so cute in her little sweater though, you just can't be mad.

Those "Tuffy" stuffed toys actually last a while. Not forever, but awhile. I liked the octopus - even after he de-stuffed the head (which was a decent amount of time) he still had 8 legs to squeak and de-stuff.

You can get even "tuffer" ones than the octopus too.
