And we survived!

Hi everyone, so my boy Duke just turned 1 year old yesterday! And we survived the dobershark days and the doberteen days... Duke is my second dobe and my first puppy that I raised from the age of 2 months old. My beloved Princesse was 8 months old when we rescued her. Sadly she passed at the age of 12 last October. Not sure if I had mentioned this previously. Yes it was an epic 10 months but with a lot of patience and peroxide for my husband arms we survived, lol. He was a Godsend. I dont need to go into too much details as you all know and went through the same stages haha. He had a great day and he had a blast! He went to the vet for his 1 year checkup with a clean bill of health. The tech even set up a backdrop on the wall to take his picture to post it on the vet office Facebook page:) then he came home for a baby nap then we went to the dog park and played with new friends. He had the day off on obedience training that I've been doing with him from the get go. I must say we did a good job and he's super obedient and is well mannered in stores and in public. After the park we had cake and his present:) the cake was more for pictures but I'm not going to lie he had a couple of bites...he absolutely loved it. His birthday dinner was half of his regular dinner and some London broil with us at dinner. No he doesn't usually get table food but you only turn a year old once! Then a bit later during the evening I gave him his toy that he had received for his birthday:) the starmark horseshoe ringner. He absolutely enjoyed getting the rings out and it took him a good hour to get all 5! Then it was dodo ( sleeping time) for the rest of the evening and then bed time:) we all had a wonderful day together and got nostalgic looking through his puppy album. Thank you for reading and i just wanted to share his special day with you all:) here's a few pictures of his birthday 👍

I edited what I said in that last post after digging a bit for more info—

The techs told us that DT doesn't own the phone app, so they can't do much to fix the problem.

I'M fine with you posting on where you have been—I'm just glad you stuck around.

It might be a bit awkward to do this communication-wise, but since you seem to have a unique and apparently unfixable problem, I'm thinking I can probably move your comments over if you type them here and tell me which thread you want them posted to. Or at least some of them—I'm not sure about the work involved.

(That's not a blanket offer to everyone—this is a special case, folks)

I don't remember—do you get PM's?

good morning Melbrod, well that's very nice of you to offer but how would I see my answers if we do that move my threads...and how would I answer. Probably complicated also...for now I can post in here puppy corner and someone had told me to search the girls outside and I was able to open that thread as well and they had said to post there also if I wanted...but not sure on how to start a new thread on an ongoing thread ...anyway a few option here. I do received your PM's but after first reading them I don't know how to get them back up to read or answer on the PM's...let's keep it simple for me which it's easier:) I have a question how do you go about editing a post? I forgot how already haha. Thank you for your help and your interest!

good morning John and thank you for the nice birthday wishes! Yes I know right I wouldn't be able to go through so many more 1st birthdays for sure lol but as many birthdays as Duke can possibly have! I'm looking foward to this wonderful journey we are on and my heart is filled with happiness. I love my boy and he completes me totally after loosing my big girl last year, he filled the void if that's even possible...

Editing a post—

There's a row of buttons at the bottom of your post—Edit, Quote, Multi-quote, Quick Reply, Thanks

Click on Edit, and you'll see a box with that post's text that you can edit. But you folks can only edit your posts for about 25 minutes after you've put it up and then it is carved in stone for posterity to see, so try to be careful that what you say originally is exactly what you want.

Well, that it doesn't contain anything incriminating or personal in nature, that is. We're very accepting of grammatical mistakes or spelling errors here (witness our treatment of ECIN's posts) with only a few snide comments from time to time (witness our treatment of ECIN's posts.)

Hi Doc, thank you!I'll just pass this by you real quick, I'm interested in finding out if Duke would protect me in case of a bad encounter on my walks with him...he protects the back yard and the house RV etc... but I'm curious, I read that there's a test that you can take to find out his temperament? Wae I think they called it. I'm wondering where do you go about finding such a test? If you know I would gladly appreciate it! Thanks in advance! Should I start a new thread on the subject?
