Nani and her Humans. Blue-eyed brother, grass play, 5 weeks, OH MY!

Since I was asked to update with pictures that’s what I am going to do. Lol. because I got so many good pictures yesterday! have 28 pictures of her. all adorable. it was so hard picking five!
SHES SO CUTE. I cant. She going to be so proud and beautiful all grown up!

The Red is her brother, and the puppy that our friends will be keeping out of the litter. His eyes are blue?! Will they stay that color or get darker? I haven’t seen other reds with this eye color? would love to see some as an adult!

Puppies eyes start to darken and change color somewhere around 2-3 months. So the blue eyes will change to match the rust markings—but the darker the better. A B&T dobes eyes should be dark brown or even close to black.

Very cute pictures—there's nothing sweeter than a sleeping dobe puppy. And it's likely to be the only time you can get a picture of your pup that is truly in focus for a long time. LOL

B&T?

I was very lucky with a lot of those pictures. And it's true, she only closed her eyes for a couple moments in that first position. But later on she slept in my lap (i have those pictures too. attached)
Yes! i need to take so many more pictures before her 8 week. i am sure she will be a ball of energy lol

B&T—Black and Tan, also called Black and Rust.

You're not kidding about the lots of energy bit. You probably should stock up on your sleep right now, before she comes home with you.

Lighter colored eyes are not desirable for the show ring because our breed standard describes the dog as having a dark eye (in reds, at least as dark as the rust markings). Usually they will have green eyes around this age then change to brown later on.
