Meet 'Bodhi'.....finally here!

Crazy crazy times, but the little guy made it, just last night. Very handsome fella. No wimpering or crying last night in his crate. Took right to the raw food.
Has gone outside for his business each time. Met some crazy looking dogs - he questioned me that they WERE dogs - my Chinese Cresteds. Then the whirlwind
Staffy Bull Terrier that ran by so quick he wasn't sure what he saw, when Bica suddenly backtracked and knocked him over, all in fun of course. And just when
Bodhi thought the party was getting started a c-a-t came out of nowhere to join the fun.
Here are some pic's taken this am. Official name, Nubia's Bodhi V Blackthorn. 10 wks old. Breeder, Aaron Dwight and what a pleasure to deal with him.

You know Coco coco. With my first Dobe I said, 'No couch. Ever'. It lasted one month. With this one I conceded the battle early. It is no use, so why fight it. My only rule is they cannot
get on the couch without a throw or blanket. I had to win something.

Wow Wow Wow....Puppy!!!

The couch rules....mine just have to wait to be invited up...if I'm sitting there. Otherwise, the couch is fair game.

TN, we just got him last night...

You all want to hear a most crazy story?

We didn't call the breeder because our 10 PM was his 12 PM and so we sent a txt saying all was well and that we had him.

About 1:00 AM we heard pounding on our front door and Jada going crazy like she was going to break thru the door. I got up
and saw bright spotlights coming thru our glass door and loud knocking. Rich said, don't open that door until I am ready for
whoever it is. Jada at this point was uncontrollable.

With Rich behind me and me holding tight to Jada's collar and still fuzzy minded from sleep I opened the door and there stood
two uniformed police. They said, 'Is your name ......? Then, we got a call from a dog breeder in -----who said he had sent a dog
to the SLC airport and it had never been picked up. My mind was thinking, is this a practical joke? So we explained that we had
the dog.

After they left, I called and talked to the breeder who was in a panic. Delta cargo had called him twice, two different people
saying, there was a dog still sitting at the airport that no one had claimed! Aaron said he knew anyone with so much attention to
detail as myself, would never leave the puppy and so he assumed we must have been in some sort of accident and could not
make it to the airport!

If this story sounds unbelievable, it still sounds unbelievable to me as well, as I type it.
But, I guess good for the SLC police?
I have found some humor in it this morning.

Humor me as I send more photos of this lovely boy.
He conquered the stairs after several tries and is now a pro.
Beautiful day here, sunny and in the 50's.
Hope he likes snow, because it is coming tomorrow.

Rich said, don't open that door until I am ready for

I LOVE THIS PART ! Uncle Rich packing a 44 mag !

The fun part ? Bodhi was there only hours and the Memories are already started - So happy for you all

Bodhi looks so comfy being held by your daughter wearing her stylish leather jacket!

Solution For Your Couch Dilemma- Place order now for a nice black leather couch for little Bodhi to rest on.
(Just make sure you get heavy thick, not bonded, leather)
Just vacuum the invisible hairs off and use leather conditioner periodically.

Here's one we ordered for Spock- (a La-Z-Boy Duo Loveseat model):

Cressb, I'm confused, is Bodhi your puppy or your daughters?
It's not quite clear from this or your previous puppy prep thread.

If Bodhi is your daughter's puppy, I'm sure you'll be spoiling him on visits and living vicariously through emails, posts and pictures. If Bodhi is yours- good luck on raising the cute little Doberguy pup!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Another Question- What is correct pronunciation of "Bodhi" ?

-----------------------------------------------------------------

P.S.- Your police at your door story was crazy! A similar incident happened to us a year ago when SA ACS officers showed up at our front door at 9:30PM, armed, with snare poles in hand. Two loose Dobermans had been spotted in our area on day and the sighting posted on Nextdoor forum- guessing that it might be our two Dobes. I replied on Nextdoor our Dobes are never loose, but we were still surprised by the ACS later that night! The officers were pleasant and professional as we showed them our two Dobes, already asleep in their crates by the time.

Spock, Yeah, I thought some of you might be confused. Bodhi will be coowned by my daughter and myself. She will keep him with her at her place, which is not far from me. But, even if I didn't coown, we work very closely together on everything. Even with her first Doberman, Duggan, she would bring him to my house on her way to school to teach, and pick him up on the way home. Same thing happened with 'Kiri' whom we coown. Now, little Bodhi (pronounced 'Bodie') has already come to Puppy Day School to spend everyday here until public school is out for summer. Actually I really, really love this arrangement.
Bodhi's second night and again, not a peep from him. We thought the first night just might be a fluke because of the long flight, he was just tired. But, he is a doll in every way.

I will let my daughter know your idea about a matching leather couch, lol.

Doc ~ how funny you guessed exactly what my husband said and meant when he had to get 'ready', lol.

Oh Cressrb--that's one very handsome puppy--I don't know if I should be looking at pictures of anyones new pups having just lost Toad and since I'm presently dogless.

I'll have to think long and hard about my dogless situation--maybe a breeder return--I swear I can't live through another puppy.

Oh Aunt B - you can do it ! Just think back to the potty training - and them dang Dobershark teeth - all the training - the little stinker getting into stuff - chasing Clark around - getting you up at all hours of the night and it goes on and on

A puppy could not get a better home

Sorry - but had to reply to Bug

Doc, of course you had to reply. We all have to reply to Bug. I thought of you Bug when we got this pup because I believe we are close in age and what you might do when you lost your boy.

I am going to confess, this pup is running me ragged today. Even the big kids, Jada and Kiri are looking at me to say, 'Can't you do something with him?' I bought lots of new intriguing toys for him today and he has the attention span of 20 seconds and the big dogs move in. I can tell I am NOT going to be ready for T dinner on Thursday. I have been trying to convince my family (of three now) that we need to consider dining out this year.
