How much Pro Plan do you feed your pup?

So I’ve made the switch to Putin’s Pro Plan Large Breed Puppy. I have noticed the feeding recommendations for Pro Plan are for a dog AT MATURITY. How the heck am I supposed to know how much he’s gonna weigh at maturity. My pup is 5 months and 43 pounds. Just want to make sure I’m not under/over feeding him. Thanks

For growing puppies you just about have to do it by looking at the puppy daily and see if he looks to fat or too thin.

How many meals a day is he getting? By five months I'm not feeding puppy food any more but have transitioned my puppies to adult food and depending on the puppy am feeding two meals a day and the pup is usually getting somewhere between 1-3/4 to 2 cups per meal (so 3-1/2 to 4 cups per day)

When puppies are growing I find myself sometimes change the amount of food they get every 2 or 3 days. And I look at how the pup is eating--does he clean up every meal quickly or is he picking around and leaving some of it. I add or reduce the amount I feed as necessary--the amounts above are just sort of averages. And between 6 and 18 months some male puppies will need a lot more food--some of my teenagers end up getting 5 or 6 cups of food per day--or MORE.

Good luck--there really aren't any absolute answers for how much food should puppies get...
