Interesting how we have these moments in life that are so special......I think this is one GR.......!! You are so lucky.......I mean puppies everywhere!! Enjoy.....you know..you really deserve this joy .....you share and do things for others quite a bit........yep we noticed!!!
In many ways I have been very lucky in my breeder experience. I've been able to witness/help a whelping, help with the puppies during ear cropping, and now I've gotten to help support a litter, and watch dew claw and tail removal. I believe all of it is just the steps that God wants me to take so that I can be the best breeder that I have in me to be. I've been very fortunate in many ways.

I wasn't all sure about the breeder things, if I would be nurturing enough or love the puppies enough, I had so many doubts. This has confirmed for me that I will be able to be a breeder, now if I can only deal with the humans lol.

It's quite all right, I've been too busy to notice lol.

Raising is a litter is tough work but you cancel everything ya know? Where as helping I still have to work, still trial, still train, still go to dog shows.... it's exhausting to make the time but when I'm there I never want to leave. I sit right down level with the whelping box and pet momma and hold puppies and rub bellies.... I'm so in love.

Most breeders will tell you that dealing with the people is the hardest part of raising a litter! In my 3 litters, I've been very fortunate with most of my puppy families - but that first year is hard as people are very needy while raising puppies. Good breeder support is for the life of that dog..... but it generally gets easier after the first year. It is really great that you have been able to be an active participant in this litter.

Hope this is ok to post up here , but stopped by the Vets office this morning to pick up food for Miss Ali , luck would have it there computer system was down , first thing in the morning ! So killed some time there so I could pay them , then I heard somebody coming in the door and low and be hold , it was a lady with a puppy ! I pretty Black and Tan puppy at that : ) she walked up by me and I had to ask , a dober puppy .
? That gal had a smile on her face that would not end and , yes sir ! He appeared very small to me , I asked how old , she replied 7 weeks old , we picked him up on Sat. , she was so , so proud of her little boy , they weighed him and he was only 10 pounds ! Kadin was 22 pounds when we picked him up , but he was older , Iíd have to look it up , but was thinking he was around 11 or 12 weeks , he had tail problems from his mean sister biting it and causing it to bleed .

That gal and her daughter was smiling the whole time , then the vet tech came out , she also has a Dober , from out of nowhere , the lady said this is our first Doberman ! The vet tech and I looked at each other with big smiles and said that this will be a education and laughed , the pup then started chewing his lead and I said , look at them shark teeth , the lady replies , oh god he has used them on us already , I showed her my arms with all the little scares on them , I said yep , know about them

It was a feel good moment , you know what I mean ? Only been there since Saturday and they are still smiling , I wanted to say , they will try you ! But didnít want to worry this happy new dober family , they will learn this all to soon

I do know where he came from and they like to push there puppies out to early to me , but best of luck to them !

The puppies are now eating mush!!! Super smart ones too. Knew instantly what to do and then went to the water and knew what to do there as well. Although Golden boy decided he would jump across the water and landed face first into the bowl lol.

I used to wash my hands before touching the puppies but now that they're on mush as well, momma's not cleaning up after them and so I also have to wash my hands AFTER touching those cute little dirty birds lol.

So on Tuesday I went there after work to let momma out, give the puppies a mush snack and clean up the pen a bit. I open the gate up to let momma out, the puppies run over and instantly potty on the area where there's not pee pads or newspaper Dirty birds, trying to make me clean up after them in my nice work clothes lol. I love them so much. Green collar below is the CUTEST sleeper. Silver collar, aka, Kim (because it was her big butt that clogged up the birth canal) is super smart. Always the first to learn things and getting in and out of the whelping box on her own is just an example. Blue collar has the most BEAUTIFUL head so far. Purple is my favorite, I call her Monkey, because she's the biggest and so she's chunky monkey.

Right now it looks like one of the puppies will be going to a top agility competitor (I'm excited about this because when he flies in he's going to give me some free lessons, yay!) and another might be going all the way to Brisbane with a top tracking person. But you can't export until they are 10mo old!!! which means I might have to keep her until then. I'm so afraid I'll bond to her though

No. I go over to the breeder's house when needed too to help her out. Now if the one puppy goes to Brisbane it will be living with me.

6 week puppy stacked pictures are here! This is the only (spoiled) male, the breeder is planning on keeping him, his name is Hodgner (sp?). So far he's looking quite nice. I little rough in the shoulders. Overall we're very happy.

Here is Green . She's my favorite (this week) as far as comformation and working ability. She's the go go go girl. Energy for days! I think she sleeps??? This week she would be my pick if I wanted to keep a puppy, which I don't.
