We got back from our amazing 12 day cruise last night and our little baby boy arrived bright and early today as his breeder was going to a show out our way.

He is now 9 weeks old and has been cropped. He is sweet as can be and quite serious for a puppy. It is his first day with us so maybe that will change but if not that is ok because Coco was always quite a serious gal.

Without further adieu please welcome Kin's Sweet Revenge call name Sugar!!

It's hard work being this sweet!! He grunts and groans when he is tired. It is so cute. It may not be so cute tonight when he won't sleep lol!!

I am back to work today so I usually get up at 530 but Sugar made sure I was up at 5 lol. It worked out because I came to work early and sifted through all my emails.

He was a little better last night but I hope we keep seeing some improvements. My husband is back to work today also so he will be home from 3 to 6 all by himself in his crate. I'm sure he will be very happy when I'm home!!

Ask me Friday how I'm doing sleepwise mel :grin2:

Congratulations on your newest family member, he is darling. Love those big paws!
We lost our Rexx at the end of September, and my husband and I are ready to bring another Dobe (or two) into our home. Our Java ruled the roost, loved to cuddle on her terms, but Rexx was our sweet, goofy, red 'teddy bear' as my husband called him. He thought he was 8 lbs, not 80+, and would think nothing of flopping beside and partially on you if you were stretched out on the couch. Not such a bad way to watch tv...

I'm so sorry for your losses. These lovies really leave a hole in your heart when they are gone. We had to let Coco go on December 21 and it has been harder than I had imagined. I was looking for a puppy in the summer but things worked out sooner and now Sugar is home with us.

For a woman who never wanted a dog let alone a dobe, I couldn't live without one now!!

Fingers crossed. Last night it only took Sugar 3 minutes to settle before he fell asleep. 2 pee breaks last night and up at 5am again. I'm getting to work a little earlier every morning because of my new alarm clock.

Let's hope for a good settling into bed tonight!!

Coco loved these dehydrated tendons from the raw dog food store but she had them finished in 15 minutes. Sugar also loves it too but he's been working on his all day. It keeps him occupied and of course he is supervised while he chews.

Sugar and I ran some errands this afternoon. It's tiring doing what you have to do on a Saturday.

Coco is still in the house with us all. She obviously is guiding her young protege.

Coco: Sugar remember Tiki is the boss and doesn't like fast movements. If she comes near you do not move at all!! If you do she will leave. Practice being a statue. And give mama lots of kisses for me :x

Sugar: Ok Coco I will on all accounts.

Yes Doc he found it!! That's one of Cocos oldest beds. Its probably 8 years old. She never bothered with the tags but Sugar is very intrigued by it. Coco really was a good girl and Sugar is on his way to becoming a good boy with guidance along the way!!

LOL Coco - I use to tell my wife that Mr. Business would be a good boy -------------------------- SOMEDAY - lol Dang - he was a hand full as a pup :grin2::grin2:

And I was right - Sort of - He's not really a good boy - but a great one now :wink2::grin2:

Will be so interesting reading your posts as he grows up - We always had sweet little girls - Mr. B is the first boy and it is a total different experience .

Today was a very busy day for Sugar. His 3 sisters, Ginger, Rosie and Nefi, as well as his mom and aunt came for a visit. Chaos reigned in the house with everyone chasing and playing with each other. A lot of excitement pee too lol.

It was hard to get action shots with so many whirling dervishes in the house but I got 2 sweet ones of Sugar and his first mama.

Now he is tired out and having a snooze with his stuffies. Sleep well sweet boy.

I hear you John. All his sisters still have theirs on too. The breeder would like them on a little longer. Sugar has very few scabs left on his edges. They are healing well so I think the remaining scabs should be gone soon and then he can take it off.

To be honest I'm a little paranoid since this is my first time with cropped ears and don't want to mess anything up. He has a very long show crop which will be beautiful once they are standing.

The irony is that Sugar doesn't even seem to mind the cone at this point but he will look even more sweet when it's off.

Please bear with me!! :grin2:

Here's a pic of Sugars sweet little serious face head on without his cone on. We practised walking up and down our block on a leash.

He went to the vet on Monday and he weighed 21 lbs. I knew he definitely felt heavier when I picked him up.

Potty training is getting better now that most of the snow in the backyard has melted. I forgot how much puppies pee!! Tonight we only had one accident in the house and it was my fault for not taking him out fast enough.
