I found a local show as well in July! Hoping to advance to Advanced at this Show! I have an interm instructor and she's hard as nails on me. I like it because I want perfection and she demands it.

Good luck! If you do conformation it makes for a very long day but it's so worth it!

Thanks, Momna I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to enter Silas. I'll be there either way, to support friends, but I'm waiting until the last minute to decide whether or not to compete. If the weather seems like it might be stupid hot, I won't make Silas go but, if it's tolerably nice, and if all the other stars in his little doggy world align, we might try.

Well, I submitted Ilka's first Cyber Rally-O run today. Fingers crossed that we pass. I'm not sure how long it will take for it to be judged, but I'm hoping that it isn't too long.

In Canada we have the CKC Rally and Caro Rally. I have only done some Rally with one of my Shih Tzu x Maltese a couple of years ago when they had some classes and Kris was not old enough. Last Sunday I went to a Fun Match for obedience and they set up a Rally course at the end of it (CKC) and Kris did everything except I missed on one sign which said Stop Sit Down. It meant to Sit them, then down them but I missed the Down part, not her fault so we went back and did it again right. Really looking forward to competing in Rally with her this year.

I hear you about doing a station wrong. Leo's first (and to date, only) time in the ring, the coup de grace on our NQ was my going around the wrong cone on the figure 8. I think with my 10 point mistake, we were in the negatives, score-wise.

We did it! We got our first Q in Cyber Rally-O!

This was our second attempt, due to a handler error that NQed us on our first attempt.

Congrats! How do you do it online?

We have a 5 show stint coming up and I'm hoping to get our excellent and start working on OB and bar hunt. We've only done barnhunt once (coursed 3x but only one day) but our club prez. Says G is a natural.

Its an organization called Cyber Rally-O. Cyber Rally-O: Welcome! They have some very challenging behaviors at the higher levels (sending over multiple jumps, for example), and even in the first level, they have some extremely challenging courses (there are some that have both serpentine and spirals, sharing the same cones).

Not a whole lot of equipment required. The biggie is the tennis court, and the city provides that. I just downloaded the signs, printed them off, and have them in sheet protectors. I laid them on the ground (taped, so they don't blow away), and wrote the numbers on index cards. The cones are from Academy, and they are fairly cheap.

I already have a set of jumps that I got several years ago, and I'm going to make a few more out of PVC when I need some more.

And Q number two.

I've started looking over the Level 2 courses... wowsa!

I'm thinking we will try the dance division, as well, now that I've read up on it.

No, this is a different organization altogether, and so far as I know, CRO has never applied to the AKC for title recognition.

Organizations that offer rally titles include AKC, UKC, ASCA, CRO, WCRL, C-WAGS, Wag-It Games, and Rally FrEe. And I think I might have left one out....

Wowza! I had no idea!

I knew AKC and UKC because their rules are slightly different but I had no idea about the others! Cool!

I'm actually working on a list of dog sports, and the organizations that offer them. It's a bit more involved than I thought. For example, if you count barn hunt as "nosework", in the US and Canada, there are 10 different organizations using something like a dozen different scents.

Our attempt of the 90 Degree Foxtrot, one of the CRO Preliminary level dances.

It's kind of fun, actually. Sort of the beginnings of freestyle. The next level we have to do this same pattern as a series of call fronts, with the handler walking backwards.

Leo got to play today!

She actually did MUCH better than I expected, considering she hasn't been asked to heel more than a few steps at a time in probably a year.

I'm excited to announce Rally Excellent complete! Even though the judge was mean and made a 15 yr old little girl cry! I'm def. writing AKC about her.

Congrats on the title.

Definitely write to them if the judge was that rude.

Others said they were writing too. It's a 5 day show we are all tired but her attitude was very uncalled for. I put her on my "do not show" list.

Oh well still got my title!
