FAST CAT Questions

Good Morning!

I'm being a little lazy, but I've looked quickly looked and didn't see a "fast" answer to my question. I figured someone here would have experience! I'm considering entering Newton into a FAST CAT coming up in May, but I'm not sure how many runs we'd need to do for the BCAT title. I see that you need 150 points, but is there an average amount of points you get for each run? I totally get that it depends on how fast your dog runs, but I have no idea what that would look like points wise. Anyone care to share your results so I can get an idea of what we'd be getting ourselves into?

TIA!

Most dobes run 23-28mph and since we don't get a handicap you will get the same number of points as your mph. It will probably take 7 q's, 6 if your guy is fast

Ace was only pulling 22mph at his first trial, lol. He better step his game up..

Although he's 90lbs and got a lot more to push than any smaller dobers.

Some advice I learned.

Mav goes CRAZY waiting in line and burns a lot of energy. Bring a crate and wait in line without your dog and then go get him when you're 3rd in line.

You may also ask if you can hold your place in line and then run and get your dog when there's only a few dogs ahead of you. It depends on the club and location but this works really well for the trials around here.
