PNW Dobie meetup?

Hi Dobie people of the Pacific Northwest.

Are there ever Dobie meet-ups in the PNW?

When I had Basenjis we had occasional meet-ups. It was a blast to see 50 Basenjis running around.

Hi Beth Anne,

I don't think there is anything like that for Dobes (I suspect most owners of adult Dobermans wouldn't want to just turn them loose to run around with a lot of other Dobes.)

However there is a Doberman Club--Puget Sound Doberman Pinscher Club The have Specialty shows and the fall shows are in August in Enumclaw and maybe next weekend. The secretary of the club is Linda Hale [email protected] Phone is 253 906-7441 ask her about the dates for the Specialties and if they ever have the kind of get together you are talking about. She'd know if anyone does.

Hi RF...

Yeah what bug said. Our boy McCoy is a sweetheart, The Sheriff, not so much. Regardless, neither does well in a melee of free running dogs. No random playing. Definitely no leash free dog parks.

Also, Dobermans are one of the breeds that are prone to Same Sex Aggression. To me, having been there in the past, it's just not worth the risk.
