Boston Terrier Breeder Info?

Hello all! I hope everyone's doing okay during these strange Covid times.

As the title suggests, I'm hoping to find some information on reputable Boston Terrier breeders in the DE/MD/VA and surrounding areas, or just a better idea on what to look for in Boston breeders. A good friend of mine is currently in the market for a Boston Terrier and has never purchased a purebred dog before. She understands the importance of finding a good breeder and I have offered to help her with the task.

While I know this is a bit out of the realm of expertise here, this forum was an amazing wealth of knowledge to me when I was looking for my Doberman breeder and I'm hoping someone here might be able to steer me in the right direction.

I would start here: Boston Terrier Club of Maryland, Inc.

Thanks for the fast reply falnfenix!

That was the first place I sent her and had her reach out to the points of contact provided there, which is one of the things this sight taught me during my own search. I'm wondering if anyone here also has experience with Bostons and could point out the red flags I should be looking for when evaluating potential breeders. It seems like what's 'normal' varies greatly from breed to breed.

I'd look at the recommended health testing for the breed, and focus on that. I'd go from there to those titling dogs in at least one venue. These are capable little dogs and I'd like to see someone breeding for maybe Obedience or Rally work in addition to conformation.

I'd also look at the national breed club's website and code of ethics, and get to know the Standard.
